CTET December 2024 Exam: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is scheduled to conduct the CTET examination today, December 14, 2024. If the number of candidates exceeds capacity, the exam may also take place on December 15. The examination will be conducted in two shifts across two papers. Paper II is scheduled for the morning shift, from 9:30 AM to 12 PM, while Paper I will take place in the afternoon shift, from 2:30 PM to 5 PM.
CTET 2024: Reporting Time
Candidates must report to the examination center by 7:30 AM for Paper II (morning shift) and by 12:30 PM for Paper I (afternoon shift) on December 14, 2024. This is 120 minutes prior to the start of the respective examinations. Latecomers arriving after 9:30 AM for Paper II or after 2:30 PM for Paper I will not be permitted to appear for the exam.
CTET 2024: Passing Marks
To qualify for the CTET exam, candidates must secure 60 per cent marks out of a total of 150. For reserved category candidates, the cut-off is set at 55 per cent, which equals approximately 82 marks out of 150. Successful candidates will become eligible to apply for teaching positions in CBSE-affiliated schools.
CTET 2024: Exam Pattern
The CTET will consist entirely of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each offering four options, with one correct answer. Each question carries one mark, and there will be no negative marking. The exam will include a total of 150 MCQs, accounting for 150 marks.
Candidates clearing Part I of the exam will be eligible to teach classes 1 to 5, while those aiming to teach classes 6 to 8 must pass Part II.
CTET 2024: Exam Guidelines
- Candidates are advised to report to the examination hall well in advance to ensure they do not miss the general instructions given before the test begins.
- A valid Admit Card, downloaded from the official CTET website, is mandatory for entry into the exam hall. Without it, candidates will not be permitted to appear for the exam.
- Each candidate will be assigned a specific seat based on their roll number. It is essential to occupy the designated seat, as any change of seats or rooms will result in the cancellation of candidature without exception.
- Candidates may carry a transparent water bottle into the examination hall.
- The use of electronic devices, including calculators, smartwatches, and Bluetooth devices, is strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
