Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released 421 vacancies for the recruitment of Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer, in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Ministry of Labour and Employment.
The pen and paper based recruitment test to short-list the candidates for interview for the recruitment to the posts of Enforcement Officers/Accounts Officers will be conducted on October 4, 2020 across the country.
The scheme and syllabus for the recruitment test for the posts of EPFO Enforcement Officers/Accounts Officers is as under:-
The Syllabus of the EPFO Enforcement Officers/Accounts Officers Recruitment Test
The syllabus of the Test broadly comprises the following topics:-
* General English- To evaluate candidate’s understanding of English language & workman – like use of words.
* Indian Freedom Struggle.
* Current Events and Developmental Issues.
* Indian Polity & Economy.
* General Accounting Principles.
* Industrial Relations & Labour Laws.
* General Science & knowledge of Computer applications.
* General Mental Ability & Quantitative Aptitude.
* Social Security in India.
Weightage: Recruitment Test and Interview carry weightage in the ratio of 75:25 for the candidates shortlisted based on Recruitment Test (RT) and qualify in the interview.
Shortlisted Candidates would be asked to submit the documents in support of their claim for the posts. Their documents will be scrutinized and those Candidates who fulfill all the eligibility conditions of the posts shall be called for interview.
How to study
One should start preparation from the day he/she becomes eligible for the competitive examination.
For above given topics or any other topics the NCERT books are considered to be the best books for competitive exams.
For Indian Freedom Struggle: Books on history of Modern India can be consulted to clear the topics. A twelfth class book will also be helpful in covering the topics.
Current Affairs: Candidates should read at least two newspapers everyday also good competitive exam books including books on current affairs.
General Mental Ability & Quantitative Aptitude: Do practice of solving sums on Area & Volume, Ratio, Percentage, Time & Distance, Syllogism, Directions etc for the examination and always keep in mind the time consumed in solving these problems and try to reduce the time as far as possible.
