NEET 2020: Preparation guide for students

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the ensuing National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Undergraduate (NEET-UG) May 2020 examination in view of COVID-19 pandemic.

NEET UG 2020 was scheduled to be held on May 3 this year. NTA in a latest notification announced that as of now the examination is proposed to be held in the last week of May 2020. The exact date will be announced later after assessing the situation.

Since the NEET UG May 2020 date has been extended and there is nationwide lockdown in the country in view of coronavirus outbreak, the students who aspire to appear for the NEET UG entrance exam are advised to utilize this extra time to prepare for the examination.

Here is a simple guide on how to prepare for the upcoming NEET UG 2020 entrance examination:

Revise the syllabus

In the NEET UG exam, questions are asked from both class 11 and class 12 syllabus. The students are advised to go back to their NCERT Textbook and revised all chapters of Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. First understand all the concepts of these subjects and then move on to advanced books.

Prepare important notes

While revising, write down important formulas, concepts in concise form to serve as quick guide to revise a week ahead of exam. First understand the concept and then write in your own words so that it's easier for you to revise at the last moment. You can also go through them once a week know them like the back of their hand.

Add relaxation in your study time table

While you prepare time table for NEET UG 2020 exam, make sure you keep few hours for relaxation. Studying without break can take a toll on your mental health. Do some form of exercise or yoga, listen to music, play with your friends.

Practice for exam day

Use the previous years' question papers, mock tests and sample questions to practice for exam. A consistent practice of the question papers on a daily basis is very important to develop your own strategy for exam day. Find out how much time you are spending in each section and on each question. With regular practice you would learn how much time you need for each section or each question type.
