NTA NEET UG admit card 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Undergraduate 2025 (NEET UG ) admit card today, April 30. With just four days remaining until India’s most competitive medical entrance examination, candidates can now download their admit cards from the official website — neet.nta.nic.in.
The admit card is a mandatory document for all aspirants appearing for the NEET UG 2025, scheduled to be held on May 4, 2025. Without it, no candidate will be allowed entry into the exam centre.
To download the admit card, candidates must log in using their application number and date of birth or password. With NEET UG 2025 scheduled for May 4, it is crucial that candidates arrive fully prepared and adhere strictly to the guidelines laid out by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The NEET UG 2025 exam will be held in a single shift on May 4, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM IST. Candidates must report to their respective centres by 1:30 PM, as late entries will not be permitted under any circumstances. The test will be conducted in offline mode (pen-and-paper) and will consist of 180 mandatory multiple-choice questions covering Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology).
This year’s format marks a return to the pre-Covid structure, eliminating the optional questions that had been introduced in recent editions. The exam will be conducted in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, and Assamese, among others.
As per estimates, around 23 lakh candidates are expected to sit for NEET UG 2025, making it the largest undergraduate medical entrance exam in India. Though slightly lower than the 24 lakh registrations recorded in 2024, official data for 2025 is yet to be released by the NTA. The exam serves as the gateway to over 1 lakh MBBS seats, 27,618 BDS seats, 52,720 AYUSH seats, and admission into AIIMS (1,899 seats) and JIPMER (249 seats) across 612 medical and 315 dental colleges nationwide.
NEET UG 2025: What happens next?
After the NEET UG 2025 exam concludes on May 4, candidates can expect a structured post-exam process. The provisional answer key is anticipated to be released in the fourth week of May 2025, allowing aspirants to raise objections if necessary. The final results are tentatively scheduled for release by June 14, 2025. Following the announcement of results, the counselling process will commence in July 2025. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will oversee admissions under the All India Quota (AIQ), while individual state authorities will manage counselling for state quota seats.
