The University was enacted in the year 2002 with an Act of Government of Odisha and the foundation stone of the University was laid by the former President of India Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Since then the University has marched ahead to provide education paired with support needed to pursue ideas and hands on experiences. The University provides a true ambience for the students to immerse in education, creative ideas, innovation and exploration. Students are prepared for the competitive world through vigorous, stimulating and intellectually rewarding curriculum that not only builds a foundation of learning but also leads to a meaningful life.
