HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024: The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) is scheduled to begin the registration process for Constable vacancies today, September 10. The last date to apply will be September 24. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for the HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024 at hssc.gov.in.
This recruitment drive will fill up a total of 5600 vacant seats of male and female constables in the Police Department. Candidates are advised to read the HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024 notification before filling out the application form.
HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024: Vacancy Details
Category 1 (Male Constable, General Duty): 4,000 vacancies
Category 2 (Female Constable, General Duty): 600 vacancies
Category 3 (Male Constable, India Reserve Battalions): 1,000 vacancies.
HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates eligible to apply for this recruitment drive must have passed the Group C examination. Moreover, they should have completed their Class 12 examination or an equivalent from a recognised board. It is also required that they have passed their Class 10 examination (Matric) with Hindi or Sanskrit as a subject.
Age Limit: Applicants must be between 18 and 25 years old as of September 1, 2024. SC/BC/EWS candidates are entitled to an age relaxation of up to 5 years. Ex-servicemen are permitted a service break of up to four years.
HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024: Selection process
The selection process includes a Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Screening Test (PST), and a Knowledge Test.
- For the PMT and PST, the commission will invite a sufficient number of candidates based on their merit in the Group C CET. Thereafter, candidates numbering up to four times the number of vacancies (approximately 22,400) will be called for the Knowledge Test.
- The Knowledge Test, which accounts for 94.5 per cent of the total weightage, will consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions.
- To be considered for selection, general category candidates must score at least 50 per cent marks, while reserved category candidates need to achieve a minimum of 40 per cent.
