The Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu has begun the online counselling process for engineering admissions, TNEA 2023 today, July 28. The last date to register for this counselling process is September 3, 2023. Candidates have enough time to apply at the official website of TNEA at tneaonline.org. This general counselling is conducted for academic, government schools (7.5% reservation in institutes), and vocational students.
Candidates who receive scores between 200 and 177 will participate in Round 1 of the general counselling process for students attending academic and government schools. Students receiving marks between 199 and 85 will participate in round 1 of counselling for TNEA 2023 vocational students. On July 31, the tentative allotment list will be released.
Between July 31 and August 1, the students must confirm the assigned seats. On August 2, the provisional allotment seat list will be released. Between August 2 and August 8, the students who will receive seats need to go to the appropriate institute. On August 9, the second phase of the TNEA 2023 general counselling procedure will begin.
In the initial round of counselling, 7,451 engineering seats are available. The TNEA 2023 for special reservation categories, such as athletes, people with disabilities, and children of former service members, was finished on July 27.

To register for round 1 of the counselling process, candidates can follow the steps given below.
Step 1: Visit the official website of TNEA at tneaonline.org.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the 'login' link and complete the registration process.
Step 3: Pay the counselling fee and fill out the online choice filling form.
Step 4: Submit the application form and download the confirmation page.
Step 5: Take a printout for further reference.
