The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET), 2024 examination will be conducted from June 25, 2024, to June 27, 2024, by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The NTA started the registration process for this CBT mode exam from May 1, and today, May 21, 2024, is the last date to apply. The last date for the fee payment is May 22, 2024.

The correction window to make changes in your application will be open from May 25 to May 27.
The CSIR UGC NET is a national-level examination, conducted to test the eligibility of the candidates for Junior Fellowship Research (JRF)- Appointment for Assistant Professor in Indian colleges and Universities and admission to Ph.D programmes.

Step-by-step Guide to Apply

Step 1: Visit the official website of CSIR UGC NET, csirnet.nta.nic.in
Step 2: Go to the Apply online link and create an account.

Step 3: Now, login to your account using your login credentials.
Step 4: Fill out the application form with accurate academic and personal details.
Step 5: Upload the required documents and submit the form.
Step 6: The fee payment page will open, pay the fee online through the provided gateway.
Step 7: Download the confirmation for further use.
 

Exam Pattern and Other Details

The exam will be conducted in online mode and the duration of the exam will be 180 minutes (3 hours). The exam will consist of multiple-choice objective-type questions and will be conducted in bilingual mode, offering both Hindi and English languages., providing candidates with a bilingual medium. The examination encompasses a variety of academic disciplines including Ocean and Planetary sciences, Physical sciences, Chemical sciences, Life sciences, mathematical sciences, etc.
