Noorul Islam University also Called as NI University, formerly Noorul Islam College of Engineering, is a private co-educational university located in Kumarakovil, Thuckalay, Kanyakumari District Tamil Nadu, India. The Institution was founded in 1989 by Dr.A.P.Majeed Khan and it has now been declared as a Deemed University by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India at 8 December 2008. The University is now run by Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education(NICHE) Society.

The university is approved by the University Grants Commission, All India Council for Technical Education and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It has been given an overall 'A' Grade by NAAC. According to National Institutional Ranking Framework Ranking Noorul Islam University was in 75th Place As of 2016 Ranking  among 754 universities in India.
