The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday released the UPSC Civil Services Prelims exam on its official website.
The UPSC prelims date 2020 will be released on UPSC's official website - https://www.upsc.gov.in/. The date for UPSC Forest Services Prelims exam has also been released today.
Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be held on Sunday, June 2, 2020 but it was postponed indefinitely due to Covid-19 lockdown, while in the very first schedule it was to be conducted on May 31, 2020 but was postponed to June 2 as the first lockdown was supposed to be lifted on May 31. Subsequently the central govt kept extending the lockdown to contain the Coronavirus epidemic in the country.

Like every year, around 10 lakh candidates have registered for the Civil Services Preliminary examination this year too. The UPSC invites applications in the month of January/February. Candidates are asked to fill up the application form up to March and the preliminary examination is conducted in the months of April/May while the Main examination is conducted in June.
