UGC NET 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the UGC NET December 2024 examination initially scheduled for January 15, 2025. The new dates have been announced by the NTA. Candidates can check the notification at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

According to the revised schedule, the exam will be held on January 21 and 27, 2025.

The UGC NET 2024 revised admit card for these dates will be released shortly. Candidates must bring their UGC NET 2024 admit card along with valid ID proof on the day of the examination. Candidates who fail to bring their UGC NET hall ticket will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.  

The NTA decided to reschedule the UGC NET December 2024 examination following multiple requests to defer it due to Pongal, Makar Sankranti, and other regional festivals on January 15, 2025. The postponement affects only the exam scheduled for January 15, while exams set for January 16 will proceed as planned. The revised dates have been announced, and candidates can check the official NTA website for details. 

The UGC NET is conducted to award the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appoint Assistant Professors, and facilitate admission to PhD programs. The UGC NET December 2024 exam is being held for 85 subjects. The examinations are conducted online in two shifts: the first shift starts from 9 AM to 12 PM, and the second shift takes place from 3 PM to 6 PM.
