India Post GDS Result 2024: The India Post has released the initial merit lists for the Gramik Dak Sevak (GDS) recruitment 2024. Applicants can check it on the official website of India Post at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. The selected applicants' registration numbers are listed on circle-wise merit lists. The India Post GDS merit list is based on the candidates' Class 10 board exam scores.
Following the release of merit lists, selected candidates must come for physical verification. The date and other physical verification data will be communicated to applicants via their registered mobile phones.
India Post's GDS recruitment 2024 aims to fill 44,228 Gramik Dak Sevak posts across 23 postal circles.
The merit list has been published for numerous postal circles, covering twelve states. Gramin Dak Sevak's first merit list has been issued for the following states: Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and West Bengal. Meanwhile, applicants who qualified for other circles should expect to receive the merit list soon.
Ministry of Communications issued a notice on July 12 that stated, “Applications are invited from the eligible candidates to fill the vacant posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDSs) [i.e, Branch Postmaster (BPM)/Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevaks] in different offices of the Department of Posts.”
It added, “The applicants must clearly understand that the GDSs are not regular employees of the Department and their emoluments, allowances and other entitlements are not at par with the Central Government employees.”
India Post GDS Result 2024: How to download the merit list?
Step 1: Visit the official website of India Post GDS at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
Step 2: After this, select the circle and download the merit list.
Step 3: Candidates can check their results using their name.
