Marathawada had been a part of the kingdom of Nizam of Hyderbad. The regime of the Nizam was overthrown after a struggle of liberation of the Hyderabad. It became the part of Union of India with effect form 17th September 1948. The Nanded district belonged to the Marathwada region. Unfortunately the socio-economic development of the area did not quite catch up with that of other regions of the state due to socio-educational backwardness. So, there was an acute scarcity of the institution for higher education. Shri Sharda Bhavan Education Society, Nanded was constuted in 1952 to quench the educational thrust of the people of this area. With initiative of hand full to " Dispel the darkness of illiteracy," the present chairman of the Society Hon'ble Ashokrao Shankarrao Chavan , Chief Minister of Government of Maharashtra leaves no stone unturned for achieving the goal. The Society has kept its educational graph rising since, then. The Society now runs 6 primary schools, 5 high schools, 2 Junior colleges, a Law college, 6 senior colleges including College of Education (B.Ed.,M.Ed.), one D.Ed College, Pharmacy College and Institute of Technology and Management. The Society has not only expanded but also upgraded the educational facilities in accordance with the changing educational scenario in Marathawada. This contribution of the Society has been recognized by the state Govt. by awarding "Dalit Mitra Puraskar" Rs. 25000/- (April 14,2000) and "Rajya Pursakar" of Rs. 1 lakh for education and social work (sept.5, 2001) We are proud to be a part of Shri Sharda Bhavan Education Society, Nanded, India. We feel pleasure to lead the such renowned Institution. Much is being discussed about the present scenario of higher education and its quality. For admission we get meritorious students as per the norms and we transform them in to a committed, competent, efficient in performance & having commitment to the profession oriented teachers so they can work for granting equal opportunities in education and democracy to the all.
