Government Residential Women's Polytechnic, Yavatmal was established in 1994 with a primary aim to impart Technician Education exclusively to girls. The Institute is first of its kind to offer residential facility to girls with diploma level technical education in diverse disciplines.

The Institute is located in Vidharbha region at Yavatmal city on Dhamangaon Road, Yavatmal with a beautiful campus spread over 15.2 hector of land completed with administrative, instructional building, girls hostel, trainee hostel, auditorium, recreation hall, playground and residential quarters. Apart from providing technical education the institute also offers services to various Govt. institutes and other private organizations. The institute is also instrumental in the field of the rural area development through Community Polytechnic Wing. The institute strives to achieve excellence through its modern equipment, physical resources, quality human resources, and well developed instructional resources.
