Program Details
The B. Arch has been mapped to the job roles in demand in the Industry. During the program tenure student shall go through skill enhancement comprising internship and integrated seminar & workshops on selected topic working on real time problem with application of scientific methods. "
The Primary objectives of the B. Arch is to focus on sustainable architecture, watershed management, waste management, renewable energy technologies, building simulation, acoustics, thermal comfort, project management and traditional and modern building technologies, to address the contemporary challenges in the field of Interiors and Architecture, through the professionally developed courses structure relevant to modern practices prevalent in the architecture world. The Architecture curriculum centers on the design of new buildings and places (urban/suburban/rural) including various functional and conceptual topics related to multiple housing strategies, institutions, mixed-use, public facilities, hi-rise, urban strategies, and land planning fundamentals, facades and details. Design coursework covers professional, technical, and theoretical topics concerning: architectural history; technical coursework in environmental controls systems; structures and tectonics; building enclosures and advanced building technology; sustainability integration; vernacular and regional studies, as well as other cultural and context-based studies.
We intend to develop the School as a catalyst for changing the creative scenario of architecture and design in the country. SSOU has actively engaged practicing architects to steer the curriculum and academic prowess of its faculty.
Students will get a lot of opportunities to showcase their creativity and ingenuity while designing structures. Like an inventor who goes about making and designing new gadgets, students will be given the opportunity to design new buildings.
Both staff and students work together like a single unit in an atmosphere conducive to which fosters healthy academic environment conducive to development.
Eligibility
The candidate must have passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination recognized by Central/State Government with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination.
OR
10+3 Diploma Examination recognized by Central/State Government with Mathematics as compulsory subject, with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
Candidates must have a valid NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) score conducted by Council of Architecture (COA) or JEE Mains Paper II score.
While deciding the eligibility of the Candidates following procedure shall be adopted-
(a) Eligibility will be calculated with the weightage of 50% marks for aptitude tests and 50% marks in the qualifying examination.
(b) The percentage of marks shall be calculated by rounding off to nearest integer. i.e. if the percentage of marks comes out to be 44.50% to 44.99% then it shall be rounded to 45% and if the percentage of marks comes out to be 44.01% to 44.49% shall be rounded to 44% for deciding the eligibility.
(c) In case the maximum marks in an individual subject is other than 100, the marks will be converted out of 100 for individual subject without rounding, If sum of the converted marks of individual subjects without rounding off works out to be a figure with fraction then fraction up to two decimal places shall only be considered for calculation of percentage of marks considering maximum marks as 300 and, If the percentage comes in fraction, then rounding off shall be done as above to decide the eligibility.

NOTE:- *Hostel is optional for Under graduation students.
Note 1 Academic Fees includes Tuition fees, Regular exam fees, Library books & e-journals, Laboratory fees , Practical and Skills Journal. These fees are refundable according to UGC policy. Backlog Exam Fee shall be charged separately. Medical Fees of Rs. 5966/- for basic medical facilities on campus are Non-Refundable.

Discretionary Quota 5% Seats are reserved as Discretionary Quota Seats. Only students with high academic record are considered for Discretionary Quota Seats. The fees for Discretionary Quota Seats will be double the Academic fees for Indian Students to be paid to the University.
