Since its inception in 1971, "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" (The world is one family) has been the motto of Symbiosis and continues to be in its DNA. It is only those with generous and noble minds who regard the world as one family. This is the thought expressed in one of the Upanishadas of ancient India.We in Symbiosis International University have designed a unique fellowship programme which will promote and propagate the concept of global citizenship.

In a post-modern world of today, that is experiencing reiteration of patriotism and nationalism, a Symbiosis Fellowship Programme in Global Citizenship, offers the best platform to exchange values drawn from every culture and be truly nationalist, yet appreciate and accept diversity with compassion, tolerance and peace. For, only when you love your country will you be able to love other nations and the world.

This fellowship looks at global sharing of ideas and knowledge to achieve common goals for a sustainable world. Through a highly experiential and reflective learning pedagogy, this niche program seeks to develop leaders with critical thinking, action-oriented problem-solving skills and broadened mind-sets to address global concerns aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. The pedagogy strengthens the fellow’s ability to synthesis, interpret and apply the learning to become effective changemakers. Equipped with insights to achieve a more peaceful, inclusive and sustainable developed society, the learning derived through this prestigious programme is applicable across sectors and professions. The Symbiosis Fellowship Programme will be conducted at the Symbiosis International (Deemed University) Lavale Campus, Pune

Registration Instructions

Please follow the below mentioned steps to Register for SIU PG Full Time programmes & Symbiosis Fellowship programmes

Click on New Users Registration and enter your data in the online application form. Read through the Terms and Conditions and click on the I Agree button to accept the Terms and Conditions. Fill in the details requested in the online application form under Register tab. Please do not forget to fill in the fields marked (*) as these are mandatory fields. Click on the Save and Continue button at the bottom of the page. On the next screen, choose password, answer hint questions and click on the Submit button to register. The next screen will display your unique SIUPFD19 ID. After successful registration, you will get an e-mail containing your SIUPFD19 ID and password. Use this SIUPFD19 ID for all future correspondence with Symbiosis International University.

Learning Objectives

• To encourage and empower future leaders who recognize that many global problems of the future can only be solved by engaging in a mix of global and local actions.
• To engage in creative critical thinking, and actively lead communities in finding solutions to common problems
• To provide a global perspective on various issues of common global interest like economics, security, international relations etc.
• To provide stimulus to understand 'Indian Heritage' and synthesis knowledge gained and apply it in global context creating a symbiotic work ethic blending Indian values with global trends.
• To develop global citizens with a global outlook, who can appreciate global problems and find innovative practical solutions.

• Original and critical thinkers empowered to proactively contribute towards a secure, peaceful and prosperous world order.

• Accepts and respects cultural and ethnic diversity and works towards social justice.
• Participates and understands community issues from local to regional to national to global levels.
• Uses technology and communication tools responsibly and is accountable for its innovative usage positively towards global good.
• Believes that each individual has a significant role to play as a global citizen even while retaining one’s own historical and cultural heritage.

Complete details of fees for the Symbiosis Fellowship programme in global citizenship as applicable for Batch-2019- 2020 is as under:

Hostel and Mess Fees (Per Annum)

1,50,000/-  approx

*Hostel and Mess Fees are Separate and subject to change. The actual charge will be based on type of room available or allotted or any other changes based on introduction of Government taxes as and when applicable.

Scholarships:

50% tuition waiver for six meritorious students. Decision of the management to award a scholarship is final.
