The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936, as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. The year 1964 was an important landmark in the history of the Institute when it was recognized as a Deemed University by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India.Tata Institute of Social Sciences
Is a Government of India Institution which has earned recognition as an Institution of Repute from different Ministries of the Government of India, various State Governments, international agencies such as the United Nations,
Has been ranked 1st continuously in the list of country’s best professional Institutions prepared by Outlook-MRDA since 2009.
Is recognised by WHO as a collaborating centre for Health, Policy Research & Training.
Has become a partner in a consortium of 12 European Universities, including London School of Economics & 8 Indian Universities.

TISS – School of Vocational Education (TISS-SVE)
In December 2011, Tata Institute of Social Sciences set up the School of Vocational Education (SVE) with a view to provide vocational Training Programs.
 The project was initiated under the aegis of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) proposed by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
TISS-SVE has propagated the Work Integrated Training Program to give a boost to the Learning Ecosystem.

 

1) Post Graduate Doploma In HR And Administration

In various small and mid-sized organisations the HR & admin functions are clubbed together as it may not require separate teams to handle these functions. Moreover the complexities involved would be less due to lesser number of employees to handle and smaller area of operations. In such cases it is imperative that the professionals handling such roles are conversant with both the functions.Thus this course of PG Diploma in HR & Administration will provide the candidate with the knowledge related to some of the core (transactional) functions of HR as well as some functions of Admin work.

Program Objective

• To facilitate broad understanding of recruitment function along with induction in organizations
• To facilitate broad understanding of Human Resources as function and its various sub-functions and its implication and connection with payroll processing.
• Set—up payroll process with necessary checks and balances
• To understand Performance Appraisal and Performance management, a periodic activity to assess the performance and productivity of an individual employee.
• Understand the various activities involved in the administration be it management of facilities & Security, Asset Management, Vendor Management, Statutory compliances etc

Eligibility

A graduate (10+2+3) in any discipline for any recognized University

2) Digital Marketing

Objective:

The rapid growth of Digital Marketing Industry is a direct consequence of the Global phenomenon that is the internet and effectiveness of Digital Marketing channels in generating revenue and awareness. Compared to traditional methods of advertising, Digital Marketing offers rather realistic costs (particularly important for small – and medium-sized businesses and start-ups), accurate targeting of prospective customer and excellent analytical reporting.

Eligibility for Admission

• College Graduate/ High School Diploma/Professional/Businessman
• Basic understanding of computer and Internet
• Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas
• Analytical skills
• Enthusiastic in adapting to new technology
• Demonstrates creativity and has a flair for writing

3) Bachelor Of Vocational In Sales & Markrting Management

A 6-semester, 3-year Degree Program in which students will get Theoretical as well as Practical knowledge . Students will join companies as regular employees or interns for their on-the-job training. The program blends general education inputs, vocational education inputs and practical on-the-job training to produce industry-ready professionals. The students can ” Earn While they learn” as students can earn a stipend during internship.

Program Objective

• To provide students a new option at the under-graduate level — an industry-focused, employment-oriented curriculum
• To help students pursue their graduate program studies while pursuing regular employment or paid internships
• To create the community college eco-system envisaged by AICTE and the University
• To assist students find suitable employment after successful completion of the program

Eligibility

10+2 in any stream equivalent from any recognized Board.
