Jammu & Kashmir ‘Paradise on Earth’, a jeweled crown on the map of India, is the home for one of the newest Indian Institute of Management – IIM Jammu. The temporary campus of IIM Jammu is at Government College of Engineering and Technology, Old University Campus, Kanal Road, Jammu, J&K – 180016. The campus is in the heart of the city in the university campus.

Jammu, a land of grand ancient temples, and beautiful palaces nestled against the backdrop of the snow-capped Pir Panjal Mountains, forested mountain ranges and river valleys.

Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow), one of the top most business schools in India is mentoring IIM Jammu. IIM Lucknow in the past has successfully mentored three other IIMs – IIM Rohtak, IIM Kashipur and IIM Sirmaur.

Changes when compared to last year

  • The weightage for CAT score has been decreased from 80 to 50 percent.
  • The weightage for 12 score has been increased from 4 to 10 percent.
  • The weightage for graduation marks has been increased from 6 to 10 percent.
  • The weightage for work experience has been increased from 4 to 20 percent.
  • The weightage for academic diversity has been increased from 4 to 5 percent.
  • The weightage for gender diversity has been increased from 2 to 5 percent.

The admission process comprises following stages.

  1. Shortlisting candidates.
  2. Final Selection of candidates.

During the first stage, initially a pool of candidates who satisfy the following minimum CAT 2016 percentiles are considered.
