UPES introduces three new courses

Starting academic year 2017, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) has launched three new undergraduate programs:

1. BA Economics with specialisation in Energy Economics

2. BBA Accounting and Information Systems

3. BCA with integrated training to earn industry certifications from Microsoft/SAP/Oracle/Cisco

The UPES BA Economics with specialisation in Energy Economics programme offers practical training for energy markets analysts working in government, the private sector, industry bodies and international organisations.

The UPES BBA Accounting and Information Systems programme prepares students to use technology to create a competitive advantage and accounting understanding for their organisations.

Using technology, companies, organisations, and governments can create stronger relationships with their stakeholders, optimise their operations and supply chains, create more efficient organisations, and generate information for better decision-making.

An accounting and information systems professional prepares, communicates, and interprets financial information, and thus is an integral member of the leadership team of any organisation.

The UPES BCA program with integrated training to earn industry certifications from Microsoft/SAP/Oracle/Cisco is an updated, industry-relevant program for students aspiring for a non-Engineering IT career.

To be eligible for BCA, a student needs to score 50% marks in class 10th and 12th with Mathematics / Computer Science / Information Technology as one of the main Subject in Class 12th

For BBA Accounting and Information Systems: minimum 50% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th) is needed.

For BA Economics, 50% marks in class 10th and 12th in all streams is necessary.
