Late on Sunday , Mumbai University announced the most awaited and major results for third-year BCom students.Though the results were declared, students were unable to see it online till 11pm.
Although 65,992 students appeared for semester VI exams in April, the university announced results of about 58,000 students only . In addition to the 8,000 results which are on reserve, there could be an additional number of students whose results would be kept on hold, like it happened in other subjects. This will, however, only be clear once colleges receive the consolidated result for all students.
The success rate among semester VI students dropped to 65.6% compared to 66.9% last year. Of these, only 384 students managed to get the `outstanding' grade. “Results will be available to students in a few hours as they are still being uploaded. Most departments, except commerce, are nearing assessment completion and more results are expected to be announced in the next few days,“ said an official.
MU had declared results for 432 of 477 exams by Sunday . At the time of going to press, MU was likely to announce two more results from the law faculty .
