The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Pune 411004 is an Autonomous Body established under the provisions of the Maharashtra Act No. 41 of 1965. The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, conducts the HSC and SSC Examinations in the state of Maharashtra through its nine Divisional Boards located at Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nasik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur, Nagpur and Ratnagiri. The Board conducts examination twice a year and the number of students appearing for the main examination is around 14 Lacs for HSC and 17 Lac’s SSC, for the supplementary examination around 6 Lacs students are expected HSC and SSC together. There are about 21000 schools (SSC) and 7000 (HSC) Higher Sec. Schools / Jr. colleges in the entire state.
The results of the seconda ry school certificate (SSC, standard X) examination, conducted in March-April this year, will be announced online at 1pm on Tuesday , a statement issued by the Maharashtra State Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Education said on Monday .
The mark sheets will be distributed to students by respective schools at a later date.Over 17 lakh students appeared for the examination from nine divisions of the state board including Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Konkan, Latur and Amravati.
Students can log on to the official website of the board http:http:www.mahresult.nic.in to check the results. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) users can type mhssc < space > seat no. and send it to 57766.Others can get their results through the Times Internet Limited by typing MH10 seat no.and send to 58888111for Idea, Vodafone, Reliance, Tata Docomo and BSNL users.
Secretary of the state board Krushnakumar Patil said students will get the original copies of their mark sheets from their respective schools, the exact date for which would be announced later. Schools will be given mark sheets and a booklet containing details of the result at 11am the same day . The board has clarified that the booklet containing the results of all students in the respective divisions will not be published.
From this year onwards, the state board has started accepting applications for re-evaluation of marks from the second day onwards. Students can submit the necessary form till June 23 at the respective divisional board offices. “The application must have a photocopy of the original mark sheet. Printouts of the mark sheet will not be accepted with the forms,“ he said.
Students who wish to reappear for the July-August supplementary exams should submit their applications online. Other details will be announced by the board later.
Students who pass the SSC exams in all the subjects, but still want to improve their marks can take advantage of the class improvement scheme introduced in 2008. Such students can reappear for the JulyAugust 2016 exams, provided they have passed in all the subjects in the February-March 2017 exams.
Students can also avail a photocopy of their answer sheets after the results are declared.Students must contact their respective schools for details about procuring the photocopies of the answer sheets.
