SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis 2018: SBI PO Preliminary Exams for 2018 are being conducted on July 1st, 7th and 8th this year. The first phase of SBI PO Preliminary Exams took place on July 1. Other students will take the exam July 7 and July 8. The exams are being conducted by the State Bank of India. The registration for the PO Preliminary exams began on 21st April and the last date for the submission of the applications was 13th May 2018. 

In case of every examination or tests, the eleventh hour preparation is vital for every student or candidate. Systematic and timely approach for last minute preparation is must. Students need to know how to do last minute preparations. Last minute preparations include knowing what to study, how much to study and how an individual should strategise during the exam. Amidst revising key concepts and attempting mocks, it’s important that you don’t forget to devise a test-taking strategy. Having an effective test-taking strategy in place is crucial to your performance in the actual exam. It increases your level of preparedness and boosts your confidence in the face of complex questions. Focus on detailed topic and subject-wise strategies to improve your performance in the exam.

SBI PO Recruitment exam is one of the most competitive exam, as SBI has a perfected pattern. Many aspirants will be appearing for the exam of 7th and 8th of July, 2018. 

1. Exam Pattern of SBI PO 2018 Prelims Exam: Candidates should be well versed with the pattern of the exam. There is sectional as well as overall cut off you must get par to qualify for the Mains examination. You must be aware of the sectional wise trend and topics to be focused on more. There must be 2 subjects as per your preparedness to score good enough to qualify overall cut off, because overall cut off is almost double as compared to addition of individual sectional cut off scores.

2. Test-taking strategy: Candidates need to keep in mind that there is fixed time allotted to each section of the exam. You cannot switch to other sections in that time-slot. This makes the exam a bit more challenging to crack.

3. Go through Syllabus and Don’t miss anything:  Candidates often leave topics that are difficult. This strategy works only when you have begun your preparation very late but it also very important to at least glance through every topic. Without delving too deep into the topic take a look at the important formulas, rules and tips of the topics. 

4. Time Management:  Management of time while attempting the exam is of utmost importance. SBI PO Prelims Exam is a brief but lengthy and tricky paper. Ensure that you allocate right amount of time to each section. Know your strong and weak sections to at least clear the sectional cut-offs. Always start from the easier section and move on to the difficult one this helps build confidence and helps in utilizing the time the right way. 

5. Mock Test Papers: Candidates are always advised to solve a few mock test papers before the exam. This practise helps you analyse the strengths and weakness and also helps the candidate to get into the test rhythm. Do not forget the entire aim of this exercise is not just to solve the test papers but also figure out the weaknesses and check your mistakes. 

6. Equal attention to each section: Students should not just focus on theeasiest or toughest section before the exam. Revise each and every section and chapter. Keep in mind the sectional timing for each section. 

7. Jot Down Formulas and rules:  Make sure you jot down all the important things, formulas and rules on a paper.  Go through these before the exam as your hand-written notes are more valuable than any textbook because it is personalized to suit your requirements. 

8. Be prepared with everything in advance: take a printout of your admit card and keep it ready. Keep all the essentials kile eraser, pencil, pen for the exam. BE well prepared in advance and not keep anything for the last moment. Keeping everything ready on time helps you stay stress free. 

9. Avoid socialising and social media: Mental calm and peace is equally important for the candidate to focus on the last minute preparation. Keep yourself away from distractions like social media. We tend to get carried away by using phone and interacting with friends. This can also be very harmful practise to destroy your inner peace. 

10. Eat good food and get enough sleep: Eat good food and get enough sleep: One of the biggest mistake all the candidates do is to pull all night a day before the exam. Candidates cannot afford to be be drowsy during the exam hours. You need to stay alert during your exam so a good sleep is must. Candidates also need to keep in mind that they need to be very particular about their food and water intake. Follow a set pattern for your meals. Avoid junk food and adhere to home cooked food. Students are also advised to avoid heavy meals as you might feel sleepy.
