Over 2,700 candidates clear SET

About 3.92 % candidates appearing for the state entrance test (SET) cleared the exam, the results of which were announced on Thursday .

The exam was conducted on April 16 and the results were announced online after five months on Thursday at 2pm.

The exam was conducted for Maharashtra and Goa. A total of 69,186 candidates appeared for the exam. As many as 2,710 candidates have been declared eligible for the posts of assistant professors. The SET department at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) said candidates who have objections regarding the results can submit them with a demand draft of Rs 5,000 within one month of the announcement of the result.

Eligible candidates would receive their certificates within a month, a statement from the SET department said. Candidates who have not submitted the postgraduate mark sheet will receive the SET certificate on submission. The SET department had invited objections on the exam answer keys a few days back.

About116 candidates submitted 172 objections on 20 subjects.The results were announced considering these objections.
