NEET 2018 Mock Tests should be given priority

The most common tip shared by toppers over the years include Mock Tests. Toppers vouch that in the last month ahead of the examination, the best way to consolidate their revision is to attempt as many NEET Mock Tests as possible. There are many online websites and forums available for Mock Tests which students can use. Also, toppers suggest that Mock Tests is the best way to identify which portion requires more emphasis in the last month.

Focus on Chemistry and Physics more than Biology section

Most of the toppers of the examination have found their edge not in biology section by in the Physics and Chemistry section. Experts also share that often students focus on biology more, leaving out the importance of Physics and Chemistry which combined has more weight in the examination. Also, toppers suggest that the concepts and numerical problems in physics and chemistry make them limited in scope as compared to biology section which is endless in theory. Students can forget the biological names as there are too many but if the concepts are strong it is easier to score in chemistry and match up the deficit in the scores.

Make Visual Memory enhancers

Many toppers have used the tools like visual memory cards in the last month of their revision. The visual memory cards essentially include writing important formulae and equations in bold letters and placing them in their study area. Experts vouch that by following this small technique candidates can keep revising important formulae without really putting a time aside for the same. Experts explain that by doing this a candidate (or student) would continually assign a visual memory. Many even suggest using different colours and fonts to remember different things. This makes these formulae easy to recall.

Apart from these tips, toppers also have some common habits like studying early morning, getting proper sleep and ensuring a timetable approach. Most of the students who appear in the entrance examination are also the ones who have just completed their board examination for class 12. As such, there is an important need to give the body some time to get over the fatigue. Experts hence suggest that students should take a day off and then re-start their preparation for the entrance examination.

NEET 2018 is a national level entrance examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE for admissions to MBBS and BDS courses across government, private and aided medical and dental colleges in the country. Apart from NEET, only AIIMS and JIPMER are the other entrance examinations conducted for admissions to medical seats. CBSE would be conducting the NEET 2018 examination on May 6, 2018. The admit cards for NEET 2018 are expected to be available in April 2018..
