14,915 More Seats Than Last Year
Students willing to seek ad mission to class XI can fill the second part of the application form from June 16, deputy director of education (Pune division) Dinkar Temkar said on Tuesday . Filling of the second part of the application form is compulsory for the students to be part of the centralized admission process.
Admission to class XI in Pune is done online, for which the students have to fill in two forms. Part one of the form is available online since May 25, but part two was locked for ac cess till the announcement of the SSC examinations. Part one of the form consists of basic information such as name, age, parent's name, school and index and UDISE numbers of schools.
Part two of the application form consists of college preferences. A student can opt for a maximum of 10 choices. The preferences have to be submitted carefully because if a stu dent is allotted his or her first choice in the first round itself, then he or she will have to take it compulsorily .
A counseling session will be held for the parents' understanding on documents to be submitted and necessary approvals. The session will be held on Wednesday for some zones. For the rest of the zones, a time table will be uploaded on June 15 on the official website of the deputy director and also class XI admission.
The admissions will be done for the 2017-18 academic year to fill 94,580 seats across various mediums and streams.Of the total seats, 13,090 are in arts, 36,185 in commerce, 37,420 in science and 78,85 is in HSC vocational streams. This time, there are about 14,915 seats more than the last academic year.
