Lucknow: The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIML) will conduct the 2017 Common Admission Test (CAT), which is the gateway to 19 IIMs and 150 other MBA institutes in the country . IIML is conducting the exam after a gap of seven years.
Registration for CAT 2017 will open on August 9 and close on September 20, said a press release issued by IIML. The exam will be conducted in two sessions on November 26 across 140 cities. Sources said all IIMs will release the CAT 2017 notification on Sunday .
CAT 2017 convener Neeraj Dwivedi said no changes have been announced in the examination format. Like in previous years, there will be three sections verbal ability and reading comprehension, data interpretation and logical reasoning, and quantitative ability . The duration of the test will be 180 minutes. “Some questions in each section may not be multiplechoice type and candidates will have to type direct answers. Also, like last year, we will allow use of basic on-screen calculator for computation,“ said Dwivedi. Candidates will get 60 minutes for answering questions in each section and they cannot switch to another section while answering questions in one.
