IB ACIO Tier I Results 2017 Update: Sources suggest results by today, official update unavailable on mha.ac.in
As per the last update from sources, the Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Intelligence Officer, IB ACIO Tier I results are expected to be released by, December 15, 2017. The unconfirmed reports had suggested a few sources as quoting that the IB ACIO Tier I results would be declared by December 15. Some though had even mentioned that the results are tentatively expected to be released by end of December 2017. There is no official notification as yet on the IB ACIO tier I 2017 results.
Candidates who have appeared for the examination are advised to keep a check on the official website of Ministry of Home Affairs, MHA for updates on the declaration of the results. The examination for 1300 posts was conducted on October 15, 2017. Aspirants who qualify in the Tier I examination would be required to write the Tier II exam which is scheduled for January 7, 2017. The results are expected to be released any time now.
The recruitment for the IB ACIO would be done on the basis of the performance in Tier I, Tier II and interviews. Each examination would be a qualifier, meaning that the candidates who qualify in the first exam would be invited to appear in the subsequent rounds. Some sources have suggested a likely delay in the declaration of results as there had been problems with the Tier I question paper. However, as per the official notification, 4 questions were cancelled.
Candidates are required to qualify in the Tier I exam after considering the attempts of the remaining 96 questions. The minimum marks required to qualify is 33 percent. Candidates hence must score a minimum of 31.6 out of the 96 to be considered. The cut off for IB ACIO 2017 is expected to be about 54 – 65. The Tier II would be a subjective paper of 50 marks. Another 100 marks are reserved for the interview. Updates on the results for Tier I examination would be published as and when available.
