The Centralised Admission Process (CAP) committee for admissions to first year junior college (FYJC) has announced that the final round of admissions will start on Thursday and will go on till September 24.
A statement issued by assistant deputy director of education Minakshi Raut said the final round of admissions will fill vacant seats.
Students will be given a chance to cancel their previous seats, if allotted, only in genuine cases like students taking admission in diploma or technical courses, students wishing to change their stream or medium of instruction, or taking admission in a college outside CAP jurisdiction, etc.
Students will have to cancel their seats by 4pm on September 16. Those leaving their Part I of the forms incomplete, or the allowed to keep term (ATKT) students who have not received admission booklets and filled online forms, will also have till September 16 to apply online.Junior colleges wishing to surrender their unfilled quota seats to the CAP process, will have to adhere to the same deadline.
Details of vacant seats will be displayed on the admissions' website by 9am on September 18. Between 11am on September 19 and 11am on September 25, students will be able to take admission online on first come, first served basis.
This means if students click on the available seats in any junior college, they will be instantly allotted the seat.
Once allotted seats, students have to approach the junior college and confirm their admissions by September 25.
