The information was shared a short while ago by the MHRD in a press conference. The reason for conducting Class 12 examination on April 25 is because it is crucial for class 12 students to complete their boards on time. As for the dates of class 10, there is still no exact date. The ministry, however, has confirmed that there would be no nationwide maths re-examination for class 10. The spokesperson has confirmed that CBSE Class 10th Re-examination of Mathematics would happen only and only if confirmed. Also, if confirmed, the re-test would be conducted in July and only for the states of Delhi and Haryana.

The reason for the decision is to reduce the impact of the CBSE's decision. The spokesperson confirmed that CBSE does not wish to provide an unnecessary burden of reexamination to all the students. The leak of class 10th mathematics examination is still under investigation and the decision would be taken in the next 15 days. The dates for class 10th re-examination would also be subsequently decided. Also, the dates would be for the month of July. As for class 12th students, the decision is out and the re-exam is on April 25. One of the reasons why the exams are not further deferred is because class 12th students have to apply for admissions to university. A delay in the examination may impact the declaration of the results which would adversely affect the students.
