CBSE Results: Free Counselling, Helpline Numbers

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 results were declared on Thursday, 2 May. Around 13 lakh students had appeared for the board examinations this year. The overall passing percentage recorded was 83.4 percent.

The region with the highest pass percentage is Thiruvananthapuram at 98.2%, followed by Chennai at 92.93% and Delhi at 91.87%. The percentage of students who passed in international schools is 95.43%.

Joint toppers for the exam are Hansika Shukla and Karishma Arora with 499 marks out of 500.Girls, like in previous years, performed better than boys by 9%. Some 88.70% of girls passed, followed by transgenders at 83.3% and boys at 79.4%.

Kendriya Vidyayala Schools had a pass percentage of 98.54%, Tibetan schools were at 96%, government-aided schools were at 88.49% and private schools were the lowest of the lot at 82.59%.The board had conducted the Secondary Examination (Class 10) and Higher Secondary Examination (Class 12) for the academic session year 2018-19 in February-March 2019.

Around 13 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 examination conducted by the CBSE. The results have been announced within 28 days of the last date of the examination.

However, students tend to go through anxiety related to the results and in order to help them with it, the CBSE is providing post-exam counselling to those who seek it.

CBSE Class 12 Results – Rechecking & Re-evaluation

For those students who were expecting a better CBSE Result 2019 Class 12, the Board will announce the option of re-checking and re-evaluation of the Board Exam Papers. In the rechecking process, CBSE will re-tally and re-calculate the marks awarded to the students for different questions. Similarly, during the re-evaluation process, the entire answer sheet for CBSE 12th Result 2019 will be re-checked by an independent examiner. The re-checking and re-evaluation process followed by the CBSE Board allows students to clarify doubts with regards to their performance in the CBSE 12th Results 2019. The CBSE Class 12 Results are pivotal to the further career graph of the students. Therefore, re-checking and re-evaluation process helps students to make sure that their answer sheets have undergone fair evaluation.


When Will CBSE Counselling Begin?

The post-result CBSE counselling began on 2 May and will continue till 16 May 2019 daily from 8 am to 10 pm on all days.

CBSE will be providing counselling services to students and parents to overcome common psychological problems and general queries related to Class 10 and 12 results for the 22nd consecutive year .

What are CBSE Tele-Helpline Contact Numbers?

During the second phase, 72 principals and trained counsellors from within CBSE affiliated schools located in and outside India will provide voluntary and free of cost service on behalf of Board. The students can dial a toll-free number 1800 11 8004from any part of the country which will give centralised access to CBSE helpline. It will provide two options to callers in the country:

IVRS: For useful tips on dealing with results

Line Connectivity: Students will be connected to the principals or counsellors and special educator in case of result-related anxiety or stress through tele-operators.
