Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) conducts TISS National Entrance Test (TISSNET) for admission to about 55 of its Programs. TISS has 21 schools and 45 centres offering a variety of programmes. TISSNET consists of objective type questions and those with a preliminary knowledge of computer could take TISSNET without difficulty. TISSNET Exam 2022 will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2020, from 2 PM to 3.40 PM in about 40 cities for admission 2022 to different campuses of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS)

TISSNET Application Form 2022

Before filling the application form, students must read all the instructions for filling the application. Here we have provided some important details to apply for TISSNET:

  • TISSNET application form 2022 will be provided through online mode.

  • Students from remote places can request for the printed copy of the application by speed post with the required fee to the Assistant Registrar (Academic), Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Deonar Mumbai, 400088.

  • Students can apply for a maximum three programmes across any two campuses of TISS.

  • Candidates also have to upload the scanned images of photograph, signature, Challan & other certificates (as applicable).

  • Candidates applying through online mode do not require to send the printed application.

Application Fee:

  • The application fee can be paid through debit/credit card and net banking.

  • Payment can also be done by cash deposit in any SBI branch using Challan method.

  • Extra bank charges will be applicable.

How to Prepare for TISSNET

Candidates can follow the tips and tricks given below to prepare for TISSNET exam:

  • Firstly, gather all the details about the prescribed syllabus and prepare accordingly.

  • Prepare a time-table for preparations as per your suitable time.

  • Practice from previous year question papers & sample papers to get familiarize with the exam pattern.

  • You may also practice mock test, it will help you to analyze your performance.

TISSNET Admit Card 2022

Only successfully registered candidates will be able to download the TISSNET admit card 2022. It will be available through online mode on 18-19 December 2022.

Candidates can get their admit card by entering a User ID, Password & Security Code. Without holding a valid admit card students will not be allowed to write the examination.

TISSNET Result 2020

The result will be accessed via online mode from the TISS website (link will be provided above). TISSNET result 2020 will be announced in the last week of January 2022The minimum qualifying cut off will be 45% for general and 35% for SC/ST candidates.

Candidates who will appear in the exam may download their result/scorecard through login. No offline mode will be available to check the result. Candidates must take a printout of the scorecard to participate in the further admission process.

TISSNET Admission 2022

Students will be shortlisted for PI and PIT admission rounds on the basis of TISS NET scores. TISSNET admission will be started from the month of February 2022

It will be held through offline mode at different campuses of TISS. CAT/MAT/CET/GRE/GMAT scores will not be considered for providing admission.

A merit list will be prepared on the basis of entrance test and all admission rounds. Candidates have to bring their original documents along with photocopies for the verification process. Provisionally selected candidates are required to go through the medical checkup.

 

TISSNET 2023 General Eligibility Criteria

Tata Institute of Social Sciences has issued important instructions to determine TISSNET 2023 eligibility criteria as under:

  • To become eligible for TISSNET 2023, the candidate must have a valid Bachelor's Degree with minimum 3 years duration or it's equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Candidates with 10+2+2+1 bridge course pattern or any other pattern with 15 years of formal education from a recognized university/ institute are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates in the final year of graduation qualify the TISSNET eligibility criteria 2021 but the eligibility has riders. As per the TISSNET Eligibility 2020, the candidates who are in the final year of their Bachelor's Degree programme, but have not passed in all the courses on the day of applying for the programme are not eligible to apply for any of the Master's Degree programmes offered by the Institute.
  • Candidates who have been declared as failed in the final year examination also do not qualify the TISSNET eligibility criteria for any of the Master's Degree Programmes of the Institute, unless they pass their Bachelor's Degree examination on the day of applying for any of the programmes.
  • TISSNET exam eligibility criteria 2021 for TISS, once determined on the basis of the information given by the candidates in the Application Form shall be final for the purpose of test/interview/selection. However, in case it is found that the information furnished by a candidate is incorrect or misleading or does not qualify on the TISSNET eligibility criteria which are detected before or after the test/interview/selection/ admission, his/her candidature will be cancelled.
  • A candidate loses the TISSNET eligibility if a provisionally admitted student fails in the final year of his/her Bachelor's Degree Examination and even if he/she has re-evaluation at the university/college, he/she will not be allowed to continue the programme as the offer of provisional admission stands automatically cancelled on his/her failure in the final year examination.
  • There is no age limit to apply for the test.

Test Syllabus

TISSNET Exam Pattern 2020

Below we are providing the detailed exam pattern of TISSNET exam:

  • Mode of Exam: The exam will be conducted through online mode (computer-based mode).
  • Type of Questions: The question paper will contain objective type questions.
  • Duration of Exam: The exam duration will be of 1 hour & 40 minutes (2:00 PM to 3:40 PM).
  • Sections: Questions will be asked from General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Analytical Ability and English Proficiency.
  • Negative Marking: There will be no provision of negative marking.
