M.Sc. - Ph.D. Dual Degree
The M.Sc.-Ph.D. dual degree in Operations Research is an integrated doctoral programme, for those interested in a research-oriented career. The programme is open for students with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Statistics, and interested in research in engineering / interdisciplinary areas. The academic programme leading to the M.Sc.-Ph.D. dual degree involves foundation courses, advanced courses and research work. The candidate will be awarded both the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees simultaneously on successful completion of the program.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION
The candidates who qualify in JAM 2017 shall have to fulfil the following Eligibility Requirement (ER) for admission in IISc and IITs.
Candidates should have at least 55% aggregate marks without rounding off (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) for General/OBC (NCL) Category candidates and at least 50% aggregate marks without rounding off (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) for SC/ST and PWD Category candidates in the qualifying degree.
