Archaeology

Archaeology is increasingly becoming a profession all over the world. Its scope has expanded from making sensational discoveries once in a while. Archaeological studies or inputs from archaeologists are now considered important in issues such as environmental conservation, urban societies, town planning etc. Many archaeologists now work for government or private environment monitoring companies or similar organizations. People have developed a concern to preserve the human cultural and biological heritage for future generations. In India, in Maharashtra there is ample opportunity for such studies and their application.
