MBA (Business Analytics)

This will be a two year fully residential MBA programme.

Business analytics is increasingly becoming a vital driving force in organizational decision-making. Creating easy to understand and quickly accessible reports for decision makers is a critical functionality needed in data analytic tools. Typical challenge faced by organizations is to integrate the Business Intelligence systems within the existing system and generate easily recognizable reports that deliver quick insights that make them actionable.

Looking at the current need of the industry in business analytics, the programme will prepare students to handle managerial and technological issues spurred by big data, and data science in areas of application such as health care, supply chain, marketing etc.

The programme has a flexible structure and is designed keeping service orientation in mind.

The programme will emphasize:

1. Collaborative projects with industry
2. Experiential learning

Student will gain a holistic view of the many complex facets of big data and advanced analytics, including exposure to the latest technologies, through a unique partner network, senior faculty, and a hands-on teaching methodology. The state-of-the-art software platforms such as R will be used.

The Candidates must possess (i) valid CAT score, and (ii) First class bachelor degree in any branch of Engineering/Technology OR first-class master degree in Science, Operation Research, Computer Science, Economics or Commerce with Mathematics or Statistics at the bachelor level. The reservation is as per GoI norms.

A workshop with industry and academia will be organised to get vital inputs on the curriculum.
